Acceleration Program

Our sport specific Acceleration Programs are designed for all sports including football, soccer, track and field, baseball, basketball, volleyball, wrestling, lacrosse, gymnastics, cross-country, golf, tennis, swimming, and more. The Acceleration Program is designed for all sports where speed, power, and agility are desired for optimal performance. We offer 20 and 26 session programs which must be finished within 10 weeks from your start date. Athletes should average 2-3 session per week and sessions last approximately 1 - 2 hours. You may add any Conditioning Cord programs to your sports Acceleration Program.

Treadmill Sessions


90% of Athletic Republic athletes utilize our Super Treadmill to improve their running mechanics—knee drive, foot and hip position, leg extension and symmetry. Our scientific research shows that incline treadmill running recruits the muscles responsible for forward acceleration at a level two to three times higher than level running at the same stride frequency, which helps you produce more power during each stride, during both push-off and recovery. We know how to test the capacity of your key muscle groups and how that affects your speed and power. And we take you safely just beyond your limits to improve your over-ground speed. Athletes will run at power outputs and velocities (speeds) specific to your sport.

Retrograde Treadmill (Backpedaling) Sessions


Our backpedaling session are extremely useful in developing lower extremity strength, endurance and coordination. Thus, backpedaling is useful for athletes that have to run backwards, as in football, soccer, and baseball, or sports/positions that require more agiltiy than flat speed. Backpedaling is also a great rehab tool allowing athletes to work the quadriceps, hamstrings and hip extensors at sport specific velocities with little to no impact on the knee joint.

Dynamic Stability, Quickness, and Agility (Plyometrics) Sessions


Agility hinges on your ability to control your center of gravity in all situations—quicker cuts and turns, maneuvering in traffic, separating from your opponent, tracking your opponent. Dynamic Stability means power in all directions and stability under all situations. Utilizing our special Plyo Floor, our Plyo Resistance Cords and our athlete development programs, we’ll guide you through progressively wider patterns of movement—what we call the Inverted Funnel Principle—teaching you how to maintain your center of gravity while performing more difficult movements that are essential to your sport. We train your weaknesses, and by doing so, your body becomes more symmetrical, all parts capable of responding equally.

Power/Strength


After completing our treadmill or plyometrics training athletes will undergo a total body strength training regimen using our patented Plyo Press and Multi-Hip for lower body strength, free motion machines, and free weights for upper body strength, and core stability training which incorporates medicine balls, stability balls, and our patented PowerCords for sport specific power training.
